Mark Thacker

Mark Thacker is a photographer, a musician, a composer, and otherwise someone who makes most of us wonder how one person could have so many talents.  His arrangements of hymns and more contemporary Christian songs are the mainstay of Athens Christian Church’s Sunday service, and he accompanies Sunday morning singing on a variety of instruments.  Mark also teaches the children in Wednesday night classes and in music sessions at every summer’s Vacation Bible School.

Tiena Thacker

Tiena Thacker directs our children’s and youth programs, and her leadership in our church’s annual Vacation Bible School has made Athens Christian Church’s one of the most respected summer children’s programs in the area.  She also teaches a teen Sunday school class, leads the children’s class on Wednesday nights, and sings in the Sunday morning worship team.

Nathan Gilmour

Nathan Gilmour is no superman, but he does preach Biblical sermons in Sunday morning worship, teach a teen class at Wednesday night gatherings, and teach the adult Sunday school class each week.  He also serves as webmaster for this site. Nathan is pictured here not as he dresses to preach but in one of his many roles in Vacation Bible School opening session skits.
