Wednesday Night Meal and Bible Study

Please Note: For the rest of 2011, Wednesday night meals will be bring-your-own-food gatherings.  No meal will be available for purchase, but families will gather in the Fellowship Hall to enjoy what food they’ve brought.

During the school year (contact us to find out when we start this year), Athens Christian Church gathers every Wednesday night at 6:00 PM to eat together.  So that families can afford to join us, the meals come at minimal cost to those who attend:

  • $10.00 per family

or

  • $3.00 per adult
  • $2.00 per child

At 7:00, ACC offers classes for friends of all ages, all geared towards an increasing familiarity with the Bible for the sake of faithful discipleship:

  • Adult Class (Fellowship Hall classroom): Our congregation’s adults hold discussions on a broad range of topics, always geared towards understanding all things under the authority of Scripture.
  • Teen Classes (education wing): Every week Nathan Gilmour leads our teens in in-depth studies of books of the Bible, topics ranging from science-and-faith to the varieties of Christian traditions, and other such things.
  • Children’s Class (FISH room): Tiena and Mark Thacker lead the kids in a session of singing and learning about Jesus and about God’s love for the world.
  • Toddler Class (education wing): Young children, with adult supervision, enjoy some time to sing songs about Jesus and play with one another.
  • Nursery (just behind sanctuary): Responsible adults provide our youngest friends with the attention, nap time, and diaper changes that any self-respecting infant should expect.
